Grammy-Nominierungen fix

Jon Batiste, Justin Bieber, Doja Cat, H.E.R., Billie Eilish und Olivia Rodrigo gehören zu den Acts mit den meisten Nominerungen für die Grammys, die am 31. Januar 2022 wieder in Los Angeles verliehen werden sollen. Erstmals nominiert sind Abba.

Jon Batiste, Justin Bieber, Billie Eilish und Olivia Rodrigo gehören zu den Acts mit den meisten Nominerungen für die Grammys, die am 31. Januar 2022 wieder in Los Angeles verliehen werden sollen. Das Feld führt der Jazzmusiker und Bandleader Jon Batiste mit elf Nominierungen an. Justin Bieber, Doja Cat and H.E.R. kommen auf jeweils acht Nominierungen, während Billie Eilish und Olivia Rodrigo auf jeweils sieben kommen. Ebenfalls mehrmals nominiert sind Brandi Carlile, Kanye West und Lil Nas X.

In der Kategorie "Record Of The Year" können sich Abba über ihre erste Nominierung überhaupt bei dem US-Preis freuen. Hier geht ihr Song "I Still Have Faith In You" ins Rennen. Jay-Z kommt auf seine 83. Grammy-Nominerung, damit zieht er an Quincy Jones vorbei, der bislang den Rekord für die meisten Nominierungen gehalten hat. Paul McCartney kommt mit zwei aktuellen Nennungen auf nunmehr 81 Nominierungen in der Grammy-Geschichte.

"Heute ist ein aufregender Tag für Musik", sagt Harvey Mason jr., CEO der ausrichtenden Recording Academy. "Die Nominierungen spiegeln sehr gut die breite und diverse musikalische Landschaft der heutigen Musik wider."

Gleichwohl rührt sich in US-Medien Kritik, dass erneut zu wenig Frauen nominiert worden seien, in manchen Kategorien wie "Rock" gäbe es überhaupt keine weiblichen Acts.
