AIM Awards zeichnen Charles Caldas aus

Der Indie Champion Award, der im Rahmen der AIM Awards am 3. September in London verliehen wird, geht an den scheidenden Merlin-CEO Charles Caldas.

Der Indie Champion Award, der im Rahmen der AIM Awards am 3. September 2019 in London verliehen wird, geht an den scheidenden Merlin-CEO Charles Caldas. Damit soll die Leistung gewürdigt werden, die Caldas im Laufe der zwölf Jahre an der Spitze für die Mitglieder dier Indie-Lizenzplattform weltweit erbracht habe, heißt es aus London.

Der Innovator Award geht derweil an Allen Kovac, CEO Eleven Seven Music und 10th Street Entertainment. Der Künstlermanager, der unter anderem für Mötley Crüe, Duran Duran, Meat Loaf und Blondie gearbeitet hat, beriet Apple bei der Entwicklung der Technologie, die dann zum iPod führte.

Weitere Preise gehen an Ex-Smiths-Mitglied Johnny Marr, der den Pioneer Award erhält, und an Blondie-Sängerin Debbie Harry, die für herausragende Verdienste geehrt wird.
